The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) is a member-based Association that improves the health of the public by strengthening state-based leadership and expertise for chronic disease prevention and management. NACDD’s core membership is composed of the 59 State and Territorial Health Department Chronic Disease Directors and their staff who protect the health of the public through primary and secondary prevention efforts and work “upstream” on root causes of chronic conditions. In addition, NACDD unites 7,000 chronic disease professionals across the United States working in state, tribal, and territorial health departments; nonprofits; academia; and the private industry to promote health and reduce the burden of chronic disease. As a national, nonprofit, professional Association, we advocate, educate, and provide technical assistance to inform programming and grow chronic disease prevention knowledge, leadership, and capacity.

POSITION SUMMARY 
The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our organization as a Member Support Manager (MSM) to help develop and execute creative, strategic, and results-oriented, Member-focused initiatives and help drive best-in-class Member services support. NACDD is a Member-based not-for-profit Association that improves the health of the public by strengthening state-based leadership and expertise for chronic disease prevention and control in states and at the national level. NACDD’s role continues to be that of standing in the gap, linking resources with its member-experts, and together creating a safer, healthier, and more equitable America.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications and Member Services, the Member Support Manager will focus on elevating NACDD’s national profile and increasing recognition of its signature programs to more than 7,000 NACDD Members working in chronic disease units throughout the U.S. and its territories, our partners, funders, and the public. This position will work cross-functionally with other business units assisting in developing, integrating, and implementing strategies and tools to drive and enhance efforts to engage, support, and provide our Members the tools they need for success. All activities performed in this role will align with the NACDD mission, vision, and current strategic map.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
•    Develops organizational strategies that grow and mobilize Member engagement and outreach initiatives;
•    Collaborates on the creation and implementation of Membership programs and the development of creative campaigns to increase interest in and effectiveness of Membership programs;
•    Develops and supports NACDD’s current digital Member resources, such as the NACDD Member Portal, Engage online Member community platform, Zoom, MailChimp and more to further engage Members in NACDD programmatic offerings. Previous skills and experience working in iMIS platform, Higher Logic, and MailChimp software a plus;
•    Maintains in-depth knowledge of NACDD resources and tools to ensure the highest quality delivery of services to the appropriate Member groups;
•    Collaborates on the development and execution of a Member engagement strategy, including value proposition development and a competitive assessment; 
•    Partners with communications and programs teams to develop collateral to support the promotion of Member engagement initiatives;
•    Supports Member outreach initiatives to engage Members in NACDD’s Chronic Disease Academy and other events; to support annual state and territorial dues payment; and more;
•    Is knowledgeable of all Association programs and projects as outlined in the project portfolio;
•    Analyzes the public health landscape as it relates to Member programs and benefits to ensure NACDD is aware of and acting on trends that affect NACDD Membership and its work;
•    Evaluates customer service delivery to ensure continuous process improvement and relevancy;
•    Manages the delivery of high-level customer services, including building relationships through addressing Member problems, account inquiries, and other Member requests as they arise;
•    Builds trust and rapport with key constituents;
•    Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
•    Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, public relations, or related field required;
•    6-7 years of relevant experience required;
•    Minimum of 3 years of nonprofit or Membership-based Association experience required;
•    High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required;
•    High level of individual initiative and creativity;
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
•    Demonstrate experience working in a cross-functional collaborative team environment;
•    Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, work cooperatively with co-workers, build relationships and foster teamwork;
•    Proactive, self-starter that understands the importance of creating and managing positive relationships with NACDD members, partners, and other stakeholders;
•    Able to take direction well and establish and maintain professional credibility and diplomacy;
•    Organized, proactive, and results-driven.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
•    Master’s degree in public health or healthcare-related field of study;
•    Experience and/or proficiency with association management software (AMS), customer relationship management (CRM) software, and/or online member communities platforms a plus. Previous skills and experience working in iMIS platform, Higher Logic, and MailChimp software a plus.  

LOCATION/HYBRID
•    Candidates must live in Georgia in the Greater Atlanta Metro Area, as schedule is hybrid;
•    All Atlanta area employees are required to work in the HQ office twice per week.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
•    Occasional travel may be required, approximately 25%.

SALARY RANGE
•    $83,400-$94,600

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
