Drugs, Drug Use, Drug Policy, and Health is an online course offered by the University of Geneva. This course addresses the issues related to drugs from a multidisciplinary, health, and human rights based approach. Topics discussed in this course include drug control, the benefits and harms of taking drugs, public health policies that address drug use, the intricacies of the international drug control framework and the negative consequences of widespread prohibition policies on drugs around the world. In addition, ways of furthering the drug reform policy will be explored. This beginner level course is 6 weeks long and requires 3 to 4 hours a week to complete all course materials. Modules consist of a combination of videos and readings, with quizzes graded every week to evaluate individual’s mastery of the subject. Practice quizzes will also be available for those who want supplemental learning. Those who pass all graded assignments will complete the course.
