Health in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies is an online course offered by Emory University. This course provides information on the technical and management principles that are the basis of planning, implementing, and evaluating health programs for displaced populations in developing countries, with an emphasis on refugee camps. Topics covered in this course include healthcare in the emergency phase, disease control and surveillance, and program management. This intermediate level course is 4 weeks long, and modules consist of a combination of readings and videos. In addition, quizzes are graded weekly to assess individual’s understanding of the material. Those who pass all graded assignments will complete the course.
