The People, Power, and Pride of Public Health is an online course offered by Johns Hopkins University. This course provides an overview of accomplishments of the public health field and is aimed at individuals working in any capacity in local and state health departments. The goal of this course is for learners to have a greater understanding of the public health field and connect individuals to the action of public health. Topics covered include accomplishments in vaccination, air bags, the WIC program, the use of data in public health, and policies in public health. This is a beginner level course and only requires about 1 hour a week for 3 weeks to complete all the course materials. Each week there will be a graded assignment and a series of videos to watch. Those who pass all graded assignments will complete the course.
