Connect passion with purpose. The Fulton County Board of Health provides a variety of services that help protect residents from health threats, increase access to health services to improve health outcomes and provide information that assists Fulton County citizens in living healthier lives.  

The agency is seeking 2 highly qualified candidates for the part-time position of Professional Health Care Worker (PH Registered Nurse 3) within the Fulton County Board of Health in Nursing Administration. 

Locations: Adamsville, North Fulton, and Neighborhood Union
This is temporary or hourly paid work performing professional health care services. Positions in this job are established for less than 9 months or scheduled for less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits if the position status is temporary (i.e., SCOA 513). Positions in this job are established for greater than 9 months and scheduled for greater than 30 hours per week if the position status is permanent labor (i.e., SCOA 512). Normally permanent labor positions are eligible for Health Insurance benefits.

Job Responsibilities

Under broad supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and/or procedures. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury, or
disability, the promotion of health, and the maintenance of the health of populations. Cares for populations with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and
chemical protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of PHN experience AND Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND Two years of RN experience AND Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.

Fulton County Board of Health accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered.
