Now offering a $4000 sign on bonus for new full time Paramedics!

The Utah State Hospital is looking for skilled Paramedics to join our team. At Utah State Hospital, Paramedics will work as part of our professional treatment team to offer compassionate care to patients with mental illnesses with a wide range of ages and abilities.

  • Depending on experience we will pay from $ 22.84 to $32.21 for benefited employees.
  • For non-benefited employees the pay rate will be $28.68 an hour. 

Responsibilities

Typical duties:
  • Utilize the Medication Administration Record to administer medications and treatments to patients.
  • Document medication administration and manage controlled substance counts during shift.
  • Complete patient assessments and provide patient monitoring as indicated. 
  • Document in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the treatment team. 
  • Follow policies and procedures while providing care.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • A current valid Paramedic license from the Utah Office of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness.
  • You must pass a criminal history check.
