Starting salary-
PH Nurse 2-$58,547

All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours. 
 

Job Responsibilities

1.  Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
2. Administers prescribed medications
3. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans
4. Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records
5. Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients responses and conditions based on the protocols of the clinical trial in which the participant in enrolled
6. Monitors and records all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity
7. Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in clients' conditions
8. Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments
9. Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained
10. Provides education to client and family  

Minimum Qualifications

PH Nurse 2-Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND One year of PHN experience AND Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
Preferred qualifications-2+ years in a Public Health or Outpatient Clinic setting preferred. 2+ years of patient/client case management experience. Strong knowledge of infectious disease, HIV/AIDS, and STD risk factors, medical implications and treatment options.
