About the Position

The Behavioral Health Specialist II is professional, psychological work. Duties include intervention of problematic behavior, staff training, development of Integrated and Behavior Support Plans, programmatic inservicing, alternative training, behavior drills, functional diagnostic assessments, client evaluations, data management, psychiatric clinic, monitoring of psychotropic medication, obtaining consents, Human Rights committee presentations, On-Call after hours psychological support, and any other duties in the provision of direct and indirect client services.

Preferred Qualifications

Requires Master's Degree in Psychology or a related field acceptable to the hiring agency, a minimum of 5-6 years of experience, and full licensure or certification (LPC, LMFT, LM/CSW, L/CMHT, L/CIDDT, L/CAT).

Minimum Qualifications

Requires Master's Degree in Psychology or a related field acceptable to the hiring agency, a minimum of 5-6 years of experience, and full licensure or certification as a  Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist (LCMHT), Licensed Certified Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Therapist (LCIDDT), or Licensed Certified Addictions Therapist (LCAT).

Paid Personal Leave and Sick Leave
Full-time employees receive paid time off for personal needs and for sick leave. Leave begins accruing after one month of employment and may be used as it is accrued. Employees earn approximately 18 days of personal leave annually and 12 days of sick leave annually.
