What You Will Be Doing:
In this position, you will initiate and assist with various program closures including no Medicaid, no PCA agency, no PCA worker, no Care Coordinator, moved out of state, non-utilization, no contact, declined services, excluded living situation and transfer to long term care (LTC) to name a few. Process the department's change of status (COS) communications to include PCA provider changes, CC changes, hospital admissions/discharge, legal representative information, recipient demographics, living situations, marital status, and address changes. Monitor Direct Service Messaging (DSM) daily for discovery requests from the division's legal department for mediation and fair hearings responding promptly.

In this role, you will also be responsible for multiple levels of communication with legal representatives, clients, Care Coordinators, PCA agencies, supervisors, and unit managers both telephonically and electronically. Assist with mail processing including use of mail machine, printing, and daily monitoring of the department's secure mailbox known as Direct Service Messaging (DSM), as well as processing returned mail and contacting agencies, clients, and care coordinators of insufficient addresses.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position is located in Anchorage, Alaska.
This position is located at 1835 Bragaw Street Suite 350 Anchorage Alaska. This location is convenient to numerous shops and restaurants. This position is scheduled for a 7.5-hour workday; start and stop times can be flexible between the hours of 7 am and 5:30 pm. Hybrid

Telework is possible for this position after training and approval from the division director.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent:
AND
Three years of clerical experience with one year of experience in public health, health care services, senior services, medical assistance programs, health education, nursing, medical social work, health services administration or a closely related field.

Substitution: College education from an accredited college with a course emphasis in social services or a related field may substitute for the required experience.
