Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator-Quality Management Development coordinates the development of Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI) activities for the Houston area’s Ryan White Part A (RW/A)-funded HIV core medical service and health-related support service programs. Oversees case management chart review activities, performs complex analysis of chart review data, and compiles service-specific chart review and performance measure reports as needed. Implements a comprehensive system to measure client satisfaction for all RW/A services, and conceives, implements and oversees a structured, system-wide approach for planning, implementing and evaluating quality improvement efforts among RW/A and EHE core medical services and health-related support services providers.  

Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Researches, conceptualizes, and implements the RW/A Clinical Quality Management (CQM) program, initiating ongoing data collection, integration, analysis, and reporting activities to ensure RW/A-funded primary care and health-related support services meet established Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and other applicable guidelines for service delivery.
  • Performs ad hoc chart reviews and analysis of medical and non-medical case management services and compiles chart review data for use by Ryan White Grant Administration (RWGA), Ryan White Planning Council (RWPC), service providers, and other stakeholders to support and enhance Houston EMA CQM activities.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive systems for measuring client satisfaction for all RW/A services. Performs complex analyses of client satisfaction survey data and develops reports of findings for providers.
  • Provides training, support, and technical assistance to RWGA, RWPC, and Part A-funded agencies in developing and implementing CQM programs.
  • Initiates and implements CQM projects for improving the quality of Part A-funded services and assists agencies in developing and implementing Quality Improvement plans.
  • Designs, implements and facilitates case manager training and coordination, including monitoring of third party case management training/support efforts.
  • Develops and coordinates implementation of the three-year Clinical Quality Management plan with the Project Coordinator
  • Clinical Quality Improvement position, including Clinical Quality Improvement activities.

Requirements

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, nursing, social work, or related field.

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of experience in healthcare related continuous quality management and improvement planning, evaluation, implementation, and oversight.
  • Three (3) years of experience in performing chart reviews, writing program progress reports, and compiling/publishing Quality Improvement plans, summary reports, and similar work products.


 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of program evaluation, data analysis, and data visualization
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to function with a high level of independence and manage multiple priorities

  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to work with professional and community groups

Work Environment::
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
Physical Demands: 
  • The position is a largely sedentary role; however, some duties require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time.
