Position Overview:
The Behavioral Health Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Program and facilitation of services in the Harris County jurisdiction. This program intends to expand access to comprehensive mental health resource navigation through a systematic approach of care coordination of mental health services to the general population, including individuals navigating the challenges of pregnancy and parenthood from pre-conception to postpartum periods. Responsibilities including building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, delivery of exceptional client-focused services, and managing key performance indicators.


Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversees daily operations of the Behavioral Health Program to ensure services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Provides ongoing support, mentorship, and evaluation to assigned staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to program goals.
  • Assess client's needs by completing and reviewing biopsychosocial assessments and/or treatment plans to address physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of high-risk clients through the delivery of individual and group therapy services.
  • Manages monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports maintaining documentation and program's metrics.
  • Fosters relationships with participants, community partners and stakeholders to build rapport and collaborative relationships.
  • Ensures the program's goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met.

Requirements

Education:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Health Education, or related field
  • Valid TX Driver’s License (upon hire)
Experience:
  • One (1) year supervisory experience 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Maintain necessary licensure and certifications required to practice in the State of Texas.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse environment

Preferences

Education:

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist (LMFT), or Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) prefer 
  • Three (3) years of experience in mental health services may be accepted in place of an LMSW. 

General Information

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:

  • Full-Time | Regular
  • Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5 pm.
  • Must be willing to flex work hours when required, including weekends.
  • Able to travel within Harris County as needed.

Work Environment:
  • This job will operate in a community clinic setting located at CE King Middle School collaborating with Sheldon community partners.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. 

Physical Demands:
  • This is a largely sedentary role; however, some duties would require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time.
