Under direct supervision, performs paraprofessional accounting and fiscal control functions, such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll preparation, budget monitoring or related general accounting processes.


All District 4 Public Health, County BOH employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Distribution site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

Requirements

  • Manages accounts receivable
  • Posts receipts for 12 counties and District Office
  • Manages debits and GJE’s for 12 counties and District Office
  • Oversees contracts management for district
  • Oversees and updates BOH reports monthly
  • Enters budgets/revisions in GO System as needed
  • Enters MIERS in GO System monthly
  • Go System liaison for district
  • Assists other finance team members to complete clerical and administrative tasks as needed
  • Customer service liaison to counties for financial needs or operational needs
  • Manges/Updates fleet vehicle logs
  • Assists District Administrator as needed

Performance Standards:
  • Maintain knowledge of allowable revenues and expenditures

  • Maintain knowledge of financial policies and procedures

  • Attend trainings and stay current with all policies and procedures

  • Attend regular staff meetings

  • Perform duties in a professional and timely manner

  • Assist with other duties as needed

Qualifications

Accounting Tech 2

High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related accounting or fiscal experience; OR one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Accounting Technician 1 (FIT020) or equivalent position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years or more general accounting experience

  • Three years or more accounts payable experience

  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software

  • Three years or more purchasing/procurement experience
