As an Admin Assistant Supervisor within the Living Bridge at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting the lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Location: The Living Bridge (Ryan White Clinic) in Gainesville, GA.
Requirements
Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Performs a wide range of office administration duties for assigned functions or program areas. Duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues. Drafts documentation, reports, or presentations. Represents the program or unit, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Task One - Provides coordination and effective management of the Living Bridge Center's Dental Services Program. This includes making oral health referrals, collecting and processing of invoices for services and uploading of all dental services data in eClinicalWorks. Will assist with the growth of the dental services program across a three-clinic geographical region.
- Task Two - Provide day-to-day supervision of the front office staff for the Gainesville clinic. Will serve as a fill in for the front office staff in case of vacation, sickness, etc. Will serve as an administrative support for the clinic nurse supervisor on all administrative matters and non-medically related tasks.
- Task Three - Provides dedicated backup and support services to the Gainesville Clinic Benefits Coordinator during the annual open enrollment period. This position will assist in getting patients seen, enrolled into the ACA plans, and processing of all invoices and purchase orders related to enrollment in the ACA insurance plans.
- Task Four - Other duties as assigned as by the supervisor that directly support the management and operations of the clinic in Gainesville, GA.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED AND five (5) years of job-related experience; OR two (2) years of experience required at the lower-level Admin Assistant 3 (GST052) or position equivalent.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to lead and supervise staff.
- Experience in a medical office.
- Experience working with Ryan White clinics/patients.
- Experience with billing and scheduling using electronic health record systems.
- Experience working in or with a dental program or office.
