Requirements
Purpose of the Position: Under limited supervision, manages and coordinates the services and activities of the Public Health Center. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Supervising professional nurses, and/or advanced level practitioners or physicians, case managers, clerical and/or technical staff. Respond to Public Health emergencies, including natural disasters. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to):
- Plans and organizes program structure and policies to meet organizational and programmatic objectives.
- Creates and maintains a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
- Manages human resource and employee relations functions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse Spv. (HCP193) or position equivalent, experience, AND completion of PHN course within six months of hire if no PHN experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Public health experience. Experience with budget development and administration. Bilingual: Spanish and English
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: This position does not require a lot of physical exertion. May require some lifting, but no more than 50 lbs. Not always a sedentary position; will require some walking to/from and in/out chair. It does require flexibility of working in various areas of the clinic when necessary, and some outreach. Confidentiality and precise data entry are a requirement. Punctuality and assigned work schedule.
Salary Information: $80,029.34 Annually | Pay Grade N
