EH Temporary Seasonal Pool Inspector (Hourly)
Under general supervision, conducts inspections and determines compliance with public health rules and regulations governing public swimming pools. Inspects assigned swimming pools and performs accurate collection and testing of pool water samples. Initiates enforcement action when warranted. Communicates inspection results to pool operators, coworkers, and supervisors. Enters inspection results into the Environmental Health database (DHD) in a timely manner. Maintains an accurate daily activity report and vehicle milage log. Maintains a sufficient working supply of pool water testing reagents and inspection report forms. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Chatham County.
Position is seasonal and not eligible for benefits.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable and insured vehicle for transportation to/from inspections (will be reimbursed for mileage)
