As an Office Manager in the Office of Communicable Disease Epidemiology (OCDE), you will be at the center of operations, ensuring that administrative processes run smoothly. Your role is crucial in supporting statewide surveillance and response efforts for public health emergencies and communicable disease control.
As the Office Manager, you will:
- Lead and coordinate administrative and operational services for OCDE.
- Develop and refine office policies, processes, and procedures.
- Oversee office needs, including purchasing supplies, tracking equipment, and managing records.
- Ensure smooth processing of payroll, travel reimbursements, and procurement requests.
- Organize and support meetings, records management, and budget monitoring.
- Handle special projects that improve efficiency and streamline operations.
- Provide crucial support during public health emergencies.
Option 1: Three (3) years of office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative experience that includes tracking assignments and managing schedules.
Option 2: Associate degree; AND two (2) years of office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative experience that includes tracking assignments and managing schedules.
Option 3: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or closely allied field; AND one (1) year of office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative experience that includes tracking assignments and managing schedules.
AND
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage office resources effectively.
- Experience leading administrative services and ensuring timely completion of critical tasks (e.g., travel arrangements, payroll, data sharing agreements).
