Office Support
The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Community Access, Bureau of Economic Assistance is seeking an Office Support (Secretary 1) to join our team!
This position is the lead clerical and performs administrative secretarial duties in the Butler County office.

Responsibilities:
Secretarial duties include:
- scheduling appointments; providing reception coverage
- answering telephones and responding to questions/routing callers in a professional and courteous manner
- maintaining active and closed files, both hard files and electronic files within departmental computer systems
- drafting letters and other documents
- coping, collating and distributing documents for workers
- providing back-up to other county offices as needed.
Administrative duties include
- monitoring inventory and ordering supplies
- issuing official receipts and providing notary services
- checking county email
- processing local mail
- assisting with travel claims for assigned employees
- coordinate the Random Moment Sampling process.
This position will also assist with
- Completing and processing invoices to assure timely payment of office expenses
- Monitor the budget monthly to assure adherence to line item and overall monetary parameters
- Participate in annual audits
- Copy, collate, and distribute documents for workers
- Attend all staff meetings and job-related training.
- Other duties as assigned.
