Position Overview:
- Learn about the HCPH organization, and the services we provide to the Community.
- Plan, organize, and execute community outreach events to education community on public health issues and/or provide services.
- Plan, organize, and execute community projects for the benefit of county residents.
- Work with an Administrative Function: Finance, Epidemiology, Communications, Planning, Emergency Response, Health Equity, Information Technology or other Public Health related program.
- Create evaluation tools and analyze data from population surveys or budget expenditures
- Collect and analyze data from residents with infectious or chronic diseases, substance abuse issues, pregnant mothers, and children, etc. for state or federal grant funded health programs.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders regarding public health efforts.
- Prepare a poster presentation at the end of the internship.

Requirements
- Active enrollment in an undergraduate degree or trade program.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

- Must be available to work 40 hours per week, from June 2 – August 8, 2025
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
Qualifications
Languages:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- This is a full-time position.
- Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Other days and hours as necessary for engagement event.
- This job operates in a professional office environment.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- This is a largely sedentary role; however, some duties would require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time.
